Former SKE48 member Miki Yakata has revealed that she recently underwent surgery after doctors discovered a 10-centimeter ovarian endometriotic cyst following severe abdominal pain.

In an Instagram post, Yakata said the tumor was found several months ago after she sought medical attention for intense pain. She later underwent surgery, and pathology results confirmed that the tumor was not malignant.

Yakata shared that she has since returned to her normal routine and is recovering well. She also apologized to those she worked with for any inconvenience caused by her condition and thanked everyone for their support. "I hope I'll be able to work with everyone again, and that you'll continue to think of me when opportunities arise," she wrote.

In 2018, at the age of 25, Yakata revealed that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. Since then, she has continued her entertainment career while documenting her treatment journey.
