A new Godzilla alarm clock featuring original audio from the 1954 Godzilla film will be released, with shipments beginning August 17.
Following the popularity of a limited-edition model released for Godzilla's 70th anniversary, the clock returns with a new design inspired by scenes of Godzilla wreaking havoc on the city. It is priced at 8,800 yen (approximately $55.24 USD).
The clock features three alarm settings using audio from the original film: an opening-inspired sequence, sounds of Godzilla rampaging through the city, and three consecutive Godzilla roars. A standard alarm bell is also available for those looking for a slightly less dramatic wake-up call.
Meanwhile, the latest film in the franchise, Godzilla -0.0, directed by Takashi Yamazaki, is set to open in Japan on November 3.
