Takeshi Konomi's The New Prince of Tennis has officially concluded with the release of the September issue of Jump SQ. on August 4, bringing the Prince of Tennis manga series to a close after nearly 27 years.

Originally serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1999 to 2008, The Prince of Tennis continued in 2009 with its sequel, The New Prince of Tennis, in Jump SQ. Together, the series has sold more than 60 million copies in Japan and inspired tv anime, animated films, stage musicals, and a live-action film.

Konomi thanked fans for their longtime support, writing, "Thank you for supporting Tenipuri and its beloved characters for 27 years. Please let me take a little time to rest... (smirk)."

The final chapter is featured in color in the latest issue of Jump SQ. It also includes a bonus CD called "Racket ni Omoide Tsumekonde," written and composed by Konomi and performed by Takeshi Konomi feat. Tenipuri Familia. The song features 143 performers, including voice actors and musical cast members from across the franchise.

The 48th and final volume will be released on September 4. Due to high demand, the September issue of Jump SQ. will also receive a reprint, with additional copies expected to arrive in bookstores from August 26.
