Actors Keita Machida (36) and Hyunri (39) have welcomed their first child, the couple announced through their respective agencies on September 26.

In a joint statement, the couple said, "We are pleased to announce the birth of our first child." They added that welcoming an irreplaceable new presence into their lives has given them a renewed sense of responsibility.

They continued, "We still have much to learn, but we hope to grow as parents while continuing to devote ourselves even more to our work as actors." The couple also expressed their gratitude to those who supported them throughout the pregnancy and childbirth.

Machida and Hyunri first worked together on the 2017 film Shuchaku no Basho and reunited in the 2018 NHK drama Joshi-teki Seikatsu. They announced their marriage on December 25, 2022.
