Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO, the latest anime in the Gundam franchise, is set to premiere in April 2027.

The anime shares its setting with the upcoming action game GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT. Set approximately 100 years before the events of the game, the story follows a time before humanity was forced to abandon Earth following the emergence of a mysterious ecosystem.

The series will be produced by SOLA ANIMATION, with Kenji Kamiyama serving as director and handling series composition. Takeo Otsuka will voice protagonist Ray Azumi, a young boy who awakens alone on the moon.

Meanwhile, GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam on March 5, 2027. The game will also be available to play at the Tokyo Game Show 2026 ahead of its release.
