The One Piece TV anime will return with new episodes in 2027 following the broadcast of Episode 1180 on September 27.

Episode 1180 marked the anime's final broadcast of 2026. The series' official social media account confirmed that the next new episode will air sometime in 2027, with the exact return date to be announced later.

The anime has been airing the Elbaf Arc since April under a revised production schedule introduced this year. Under the new format, One Piece will air a maximum of 26 new episodes per year, with recap episodes eliminated.

Producer Ryuta Koike previously explained that the change was made to allow the anime to adapt approximately one manga chapter per episode and strengthen production as the story moves deeper into the core of the One Piece world. He also denied that the change was due to budget issues or production difficulties.

Beginning October 11, Dragon Ball Super: Beerus, a reworked version of Dragon Ball Super, will take over the anime's current Sunday 11:15 p.m. time slot on Fuji TV.
