On August 30, STARTTO ENTERTAINMENT announced that WEST. members Ryusei Fujii and Nozomu Kotaki will be leaving the group.

According to the agency, Fujii and Kotaki both expressed their desire to leave the group and pursue their careers in a new direction. After discussions among the members, the group decided to respect their decision.

The exact timing of Fujii and Kotaki's departure has not yet been determined as adjustments are being made regarding upcoming activities and appearances. Reportedly, the two of them will remain with STARTO ENTERTAINMENT and continue their individual activities.

WEST. was scheduled to appear as a seven-member group at KAMIGATA EXPO PARK FES 2026 on October 31 and November 1. As the group will no longer be able to appear with all seven members, ticket refunds will be offered, with further details to be announced.

STARTO also stated that discussions are continuing with the five remaining members regarding WEST.'s future activities, with an update to be provided once a decision has been made.
