WEST. will officially end their group activities on September 30, according to an announcement from STARTO ENTERTAINMENT.

The decision follows the previously announced departures of Ryusei Fujii and Nozomu Kotaki on August 30. The remaining five members — Daiki Shigeoka, Akito Kiriyama, Junta Nakama, Tomohiro Kamiyama, and Takahiro Hamada — held discussions with the agency about the group's future, including the possibility of continuing as a five-member group. Ultimately, they decided to bring WEST.'s group activities to an end.

Beginning October 1, all five members will remain with STARTO ENTERTAINMENT and continue their individual activities.

In its statement, STARTO apologized for the time it took to announce the group's future and thanked fans and those involved for their support since WEST.'s debut in 2014. The agency added that it will continue to support all seven members as they pursue their respective activities.
