YAO, a collaborative project comprised of Awich, CHICO CARLITO, ONE OK ROCK, and Paledusk, has released their second single "Arifureta Sekai no Hate ni" on September 4.
YAO brings together four artists from different musical and cultural backgrounds. The project's name comes from the Japanese concept of "Yaoyorozu no Kami," representing the idea of accepting and coexisting with diverse values and beliefs.
The song was inspired by conversations about Okinawa's history and culture. Awich and CHICO CARLITO's message of peace resonated with the other YAO members, leading them to create the track together.
For the track, Taka takes on a new melodic approach, while the members bring together their different backgrounds and perspectives to reflect on Okinawa's history and the importance of remembering the past.
