Da-iCE will release their new song "Uraraka" on Friday, October 16. The song serves as the theme for the sequel to Fuji TV's drama A Calm Sea and Beautiful Days with You (Nami Uraraka ni, Meoto Biyori), which premiered on October 15.
The mid-tempo ballad was written by Da-iCE's Sota Hanamura and GENIC's Ryuki Koike of GENIC, with arrangement by ha-j. The song explores the timeless feeling of caring for someone and the hope that love will continue for generations to come.
Based on the manga by Hachi Nishika, the drama is set in 1936 and follows Natsumi Sekiya and Takimasa Ebata, a naval officer, as they navigate an arranged marriage. Having barely known each other before their wedding, the two gradually learn to communicate and build a relationship.
The song reflects the drama's portrayal of love, emphasizing the sincerity of two people learning to understand and care for one another. Its warm arrangement also incorporates wedding-inspired elements that complement the story.
The original drama aired from April to June 2025, with the sequel continuing the couple's story.
