Actress Haruka Fukuhara (28) and Japanese soccer player Takefusa Kubo (25) have announced their marriage.

The couple shared the news on October 2 in a joint statement via their respective Instagram accounts. They said, "We have both been supported by so many people since we were young, and that support has brought us to where we are today. We still have much to learn, but we hope to never forget our gratitude to everyone and to support one another as we build a warm and happy family together."

Fukuhara began her career as a child actress and has appeared in numerous television dramas and films, including the NHK morning drama Maiagare! 

Kubo plays for Spain's Real Sociedad and has represented Japan internationally, including at the 2022 and 2026 FIFA World Cups.
