Voice actress idol group i☆Ris has announced that it will officially end its activities at the end of 2027, marking its 15th anniversary.

Formed in 2012 through an audition jointly organized by avex and 81 Produce, i☆Ris currently consists of five members: Saki Yamakita, Yu Serizawa, Himika Akaneya, Yuki Wakai, and Miyu Kubota.

According to the group's official announcement, the members and staff have been discussing the group's future and their individual careers since last year. After careful consideration, all five members agreed to conclude the group's activities at the end of 2027.

Wakai explained, "This wasn't prompted by any one person. It was a decision we made after having in-depth discussions and reaching an agreement together."

Group leader Yamakita also said, "We only have one year left? No, we still have one whole year!"

i☆Ris made their debut in November 2012 with the single "Color" and has since released numerous songs and albums. The group is scheduled to hold their 14th anniversary concert, i☆Ris 14th Anniversary Live ~FANTASISTA~, at Yokohama Arena on November 3.
