Actress Yui Aragaki and singer-songwriter Gen Hoshino have welcomed their first child.

In a joint statement released on October 13, the couple expressed, "We were able to reach this day safely thanks to the support of so many people."

They continued, "As parents and as individuals, we hope to continue growing together while protecting this new life and creating peaceful, fulfilling days."

Aragaki and Hoshino previously starred together in the popular 2016 TBS drama Nigeru wa Haji da ga Yaku ni Tatsu (The Full-Time Wife Escapist). The couple announced their marriage in May 2021.
