RADWIMPS have released their new song "Aitai" via YouTube.
After the Great East Japan Earthquake occurred in March of 2011, RADWIMPS launched the website 'Itoshiki' and have released a song on YouTube almost every March 11 with hopes of restoration of the disaster-stricken areas. Noda Yojiro (Vo, G) commented, "Our songs during the past 10 years were like love letters. A one-sided love letter without a response. Every year as March 11 came around, we unconsciously picked up the guitar or piano and thought about the people and land that were left devastated on that day. We then wrote the lyrics, talked with the members, staff, and Shimada-san, and created these songs."
RADWIMPS released their latest album "2+0+2+1+3+1+1= 10 years 10 songs" on March 11. In addition to all songs they released every March 11, it includes "Aitai" and "Kakurenbo" for a total of 10 songs. All sales profit until December 31 will be donated to the Japan Red Cross Society and local government to support recovery from natural disasters that occur nationwide.
