On July 11, actress Shibasaki Kou uploaded a video onto her YouTube channel revealing her Hokkaido home.
Titled 'Mori no Kurashi: Room Tour Hokkaido de no Seikatsu' (roughly translates to 'Forest Life: A Room Tour of My Lifestyle in Hokkaido'), Shibasaki started the video by saying, "I don't have all of the household products yet, but I hope this will serve as some kind of reference." She continued, "In Tokyo, I live in an apartment, but here [in Hokkaido], I live in a single-family home. Since it snows here, the entryway is made of stone material. Also, snow shoveling items, such as a shovel as well as boots, are necessities."
Shibasaki revealed, "Originally, this house was built for my father as a summer resort that he could escape to from Tokyo during the hot summer days. It was built for him, but he rarely comes here."
During an event earlier in March, Shibasaki revealed that she had been spending some time in Hokkaido. "Since a few years ago, I have decided to take action rather than just think about it. I own some land in Hokkaido and have been trying to establish a lifestyle there. I am not sure how this will change things, but it's a source of motivation and a change in scenery. I am sure it will also become the key to maintaining harmony within myself," she said. Since then, fans had been curious about her home and lifestyle in Hokkaido.
