
timelesz member Masaki Hashimoto will star in the live-action film adaptation of 'Onee-chan no Midori-kun,' with Runa Nakashima cast as the heroine. The film is scheduled for nationwide release on December 4 through Shochiku.
The romantic story centers on Midori Yukishiro, a gentle and carefree young man. High school student Sui Sanae initially dislikes Midori, who is seven years older and also happens to be her older sister's boyfriend. However, after he begins tutoring her for entrance exams, Sui gradually starts to fall for him despite trying to suppress her feelings.
The film marks Hashimoto's first leading role in a movie. Nakashima, who won the Japan Academy Film Prize's New Actor Award for 'TOKYO Taxi,' will play the conflicted heroine Sui.
The film will be directed by Mahito Kimura, known for the WOWOW dramas 'Ao Haru Ride' and 'Strobe Edge.' The screenplay is written by Nami Kikkawa, whose previous works include 'Honey Lemon Soda' and 'Koukan Uso Nikki.'
