Takuya Kimura has released the music video for his new song "Hikari no Naka de."

"Hikari no Naka de" is featured on Kimura's new album "Checkpoint," which was released on August 12, marking his first original album since moving to his new label, C&C STAGE. The song previously reached No. 1 on USEN's J-POP request chart.

"Checkpoint" features songs contributed by artists including Sanma Akashiya, Tamio Okuda, Taka (ONE OK ROCK), Masayoshi Yamazaki, and Rei. Kimura will support the album with his tour, TAKUYA KIMURA Live Tour 2026 Checkpoint, beginning September 5 with stops in Japan, Seoul, and Taipei.
