June 25th marked the anniversary of the death of seminal pop musician, Michael Jackson.� The entire world has been mourning the loss of the superstar, and Japan was no exception.� Zepp Tokyo sponsored a special live event with MUSIC ON! television network and Japanese R&B star, AI, to have a special screening of a new program called "AI miss MICHAEL JACKSON - The Miracle of the King of Pop."� A lucky 800 attendees were chosen by lottery to attend the event and got to see interviews, lives, and even footage of the late pop star.
The special event was more than just a chance to see AI, it was also the launching ground for the new program starring the R&B singer about Michael Jackson's life.� The documentary "AI miss MICHAEL JACKSON" features interviews from over 20 people in Michael Jackson's life, including his brother and staff members.� Ai was lucky enough to travel to the US and meet with these people for the filming.
Some celebrity guests were in attendance, such as Judith Hill, a backup singer for the THIS IS IT tour with Michael Jackson, and Kento Mori, a backup dancer for the same tour.� Judith Hill and AI worked closely on the documentary together and formed a friendship due to their work.� They further surprised the audience by announcing a special collaboration between the two of them called "For My Sister", which will be released in the future.
