The popular Shueisha manga magazine “Weekly Young Jump” has announced that four AKB48 members will be getting their own solo comics.  Four members were selected from the enormous idol group; Mayu Watanabe, Yuki Kashiwagi, Rie Kitahara,  and Rina Sashihara.

Each idol will have a different named segment in the magazine, but the comic strips are currently named “Mayayu: Mangaka DEBUT Keikaku,” “Yukirin no THE Idol Quest,” “Kitarie no Mousou Bungaku Shoujodou,” and finally “Sasshi Bishoujo-ka Keikaku.”  Each segment will reflect the girl’s individuality and will reflect their personality.

Weekly Young Jump will be releasing the comic strips starting in Volume 38 on August 19th.  Fans of AKB48 can also pick up the recent volume of the magazine that went on sale July 29th with Yuki Kashiwagi on the cover.  She also provides a foreword about the upcoming manga strips and has a seven page full-color gravure photo shoot.  A pin-up sheet is also included, so Yukirin fans are encouraged to pick up the current issue of the magazine.
