It was announced on July 26th on Bice's official site that the singer/songwriter had passed away.� Her husband posted the sad news on her site, letting fans know that she died of a heart attack at home.� He expressed sadness over the loss of his wife, but thanked the fans for their help and support.� The funeral was held for family only.

Bice had debuted as a solo artist back in 1998 and has released three albums over the course of her career.� After several years of singing, she switched her career to focus more on producing music for other singers including Vanilla Beans, Yamashita Kumiko, Nanase Aikawa, and Younha.� She also composed soundtracks for the television dramas "Muko Shingari," "Kimi wa Petto," and the anime "Kirarin Revolution."� Her catchy sense of melody and fine taste for musical arrangement will be sorely missed.

It has been quite a sad year for music production, losing such greats as Bice and nujabes. We hope that fans will continue to support and perhaps we will see a tribute album for Bice like nujabes will be getting in the fall.
