TAKURO gives back

allkpop

Takuro of Glay is giving back to the children of Africa. Hearts Bridge Charity is auctioning off Takuros Gibson Les Paul Studio guitar (GLAY ARENA TOUR 2009 [THE GREAT VACATION]), signed. The auction started on 7/26 and ends on 7/31.

The bid is currently at Y781,777 ($8,940USD). The auction is held on Yahoo! Auction Japan. You can view and bid here. They wont send it overseas, but there are a couple of services that you can use to buy from Y!A.

Takuro commented how he understands the organization because of his own children. Every year he brings his kids in for immunization so that they may grow up healthy. It would also be helpful when those treatments are cheap or free, they can go to a clean and sanitary school every morning. When intentions are as good as these, it will easily reach people. Its this reason why Takuro joined LOVE IS FREE.
The Hearts Bridge Charity (Love is Free) is a branch of Child AFRICA. Love is Free was created when they met a child, Elina, who is diagnosed with AIDS in Malawi, Africa. This charity will provide and try to protect the children of Malawi from AIDS, with netting and other materials.

Child AFRICA is an organization that was proposed by Japanese singer, MISIA. MISIA has been in active events since 2001. Child AFRICAs aim is to create better environments for education in Africa, so that they may achieve a better and sustainable society. We strongly believe that education is essential for people to lead a life with improved quality and carry out our activities in cooperation with various organizations such as aid agencies both inside and outside Japan. We try to connect people in Africa and Japan by understanding their reality and disseminate the information on how they are making effort to improve their lives.

A message from MISIA:
Child AFRICA was started with the big inspiration from childrens beaming smiles. Those smiles left something big in my heart and took shape into Child AFRICA.

After visiting African countries, I strongly felt that education is essential to LOVE THEIR LIFE in a true sense.
I also felt that school is taking an essential role to protect children and is an important community for them.
Even under the severe situation, I saw a lot of children living strongly with a smile on their face. I felt that we must make best effort to keep their faces shining with smiles which is their treasure and I believe that this effort will lead to the better and happier future for the next generation.

I support Child AFRICA so that we can learn, think and take action with lots more people about education, school and the environment that surrounds children.

I believe that it is the communication and connection between people that move things forward. Child AFRICA itself was also started with the linkage and communication with people. I hope that we will be able to find out what we can do one by one through the communication with various people.

I am also looking forward to find out who we can get connected and work together in the future.

I will make best effort to put across the learning and the message which we get through taking actions through Child AFRICA.

I would like to ask your continuous support and guidance.

sing with me!
