Members of AKB48 were chosen to endorse the popular soft candy products "PUCCHO." At the press conference which was held in Tokyo on August 9th, AKB48 members Oshima Yuko, Maeda Atsuko, Itano Tomomi, Watanabe Mayu, Takahashi Minami, Kojima Haruna, Miyazawa Sae, Kasai Tomomi and SKE48 members Matsui Jurina and Matsui Rena made an appearance to discuss the new endorsement.

In the commercial, members of AKB48 will be dancing to their latest release titled "Heavy Rotation" which will be used as a theme song and while dancing, the girls will eat one piece of Puccho and transform into the various characters from the Puccho line. After they become the Puccho characters, they will call themselves "AKB48ccho."

Oshima commented, "When everyone turns into the character Puccho, they become so cute. When I turn into Oshimaccho, I think its actually cuter then myself. (Laugh)"

Puccho is a chewy Japanese candy that contains small bits of gummies, created by UHA Mikakuto. This year will be their 10th year anniversary since opening.
