Idol groupAKB48 performed at Yakushiji, one of the World Heritage Sites in Nara, on September 26th. Although only 22 members were present for the event, they energetically sang 15 songs in front of 4,500 fans. This is the first time for AKB48 to sing at a Buddhist temple, and more specifically, at a World Heritage Site.
The girls were very honored to perform at such a revered place, and member Maeda Atsuko piped up saying, "To perform at Yakushiji is the proudest boast in my life, for now."
An official guide book about this performance, "AKB48 Yakushiji Hounou Kouen 2010 (????????????????)" will be released on October 15th, and it will include not only the performances, but also the off-shots of members, interviews, and rehearsal.
