Martial arts actor Kosugi Kane (35) will star in a new movie dubbed as the Asian version of the James Bond 007 movies. The movie is tentatively called Silent Storm, and it's an international collaboration between production companies in Japan, the United States, South Korea, and Hong Kong.
The movie is set in Asia and will feature a number of spies, hitmen, and of course, beautiful women a staple of any espionage/action movie. However, the difference between this movie and the James Bond series is that Kosugi will only appear as an ordinary salaryman in a suit, but in reality is actually a spy and a kung-fu fighter. Surely, Kosugi Kanes background in the martial arts will help him pull-off his character without the need for doubles.
Aside from starring, Kosugi will also be serving as a producer for the first time. As of now, they are holding an audition for possible directors and screenwriters for the movie, and the filming is scheduled to start as early as this winter. The film is expected to hit the theatres sometime next year.
