Girl groups from Korea have seemingly taken over Japan this year, with KARA, 4minute, and Shoujo Jidai all making a splash.� Starting next year though, there's speculation that YG's power girl group, 2NE1, will steal the spotlight.

Well, at least Avex certainly hopes so.

We all know that TVXQ (DBSK) was one of Japan�s top boy bands, but now that they�re no longer around, Avex has their eyes set on YG�s very own 2NE1. The group will be debuting in Japan next year, and they have already been dubbed as the �Female TVXQ".

Insiders have stated that Avex has been keeping in touch with YG Entertainment, �2NE1 has caught the attention of Avex with their unique music and concept, and Avex is likely to be 2NE1�s agency in Japan.�
