Boyz II Men announce J-pop cover album

allkpop

American R&B trio Boyz II Men have announced a J-pop cover album that will be released on December 8th.

Boyz II Men are famous around the world and have won four Grammy Awards, the group was especially popular in the 1990's. They sold millions of records worldwide and have been dubbed, "the greatest vocal group of the 20th century." Since their debut in 1991 the vocalists have found quite the following in Japan.Boyz II Men has released several Japanese exclusives in the past, including a previous J-pop cover album. Their older album, "Winter / Reflections," came out back in 2005 and this new cover album will be a much anticipated second full cover album.

There is no word on what songs will be covered by Boyz II Men on the new album. Their previous album, "Winter / Reflections," had covers from groups such as Chemistry, Kobukuro, and EXILE, so it probably safe to assume that part two will also contain a nice blend of urban and pop selections.

As a example of their previous cover work, here is the Boyz II Men version of Kobukuro's "Koko ni Shikasakanai Hana" : Flowers Blooming
