Nana Mizuki to dub Japanese broadcasting of “iCarly”

Veteran singer/voice actress Nana Mizuki, known for being the first seiyu ever to top the Oricon charts, has taken up yet another voice-acting role. Starting on November 16th, residents of Japan will be introduced to the American teenage drama “iCarly” by NHK, for which Nana will dub the main character, Carly.
In the popular comedy, the main character Carly is a junior high school student. During the press event, Nana reminisced about her own junior high school days, during which she sang enka and was kept under a very busy schedule. She admitted that she doesn’t have a lot of memories where she played with friends, and so she envies the trio of friends on the show for that reason.
Although she has voice acted for countless animes and video games, this will be the first time she has dubbed an overseas show of any kind.
