Poster of upcoming movie “Byakuyako” revealed

“Byakuyako,” an upcoming which stars Horikita Maki and Kora Kengo revealed an official poster earlier today. The slogan was revealed as, “The thing I killed next was my heart.”  

“Byakuyako” is a movie based on a popular novel written by Higashino Keigo. The book has also been adapted to a stage performance (2005), and drama series (2006).  There also was a movie released last year in Korea which was also an adaptation of the novel.

In the movie, Horikita Maki will play an evil girl who plunges people around her into misfortune just to make herself happy. For these misfortunes, she will receive the help of her childhood friend, played by Kora Kengo.

“Byakuyako” will be released in theaters on January 29th 2011.

    I’m tired of Maki honestly… but I did like this drama… Yamada Takayuki and Ayase Haruka were superb! Very intriguing.

    I love it. The previous one was a little different, more innocent, this one definitely shows the coldness/evil in her character. Maki’s eyes are always powerful x) and Kengo Koraaa *o* oh my… HOT. I can’t wait!!

    Ohmygod. Byakuyako was probably one of the most genius dramas ever made. It’s not of love, but of two extremely twisted individuals engulfed in a downwards spiral. Ayase and Takayuki did superbly in their roles, I was bawling my eyes out in the first few minutes of the first episode. Not sure if Maki has what it takes for the female lead role, but what the heck. Go for it.

    i never finished watching the drama version, but only saw the first one or two episodes. i was scared of the plot XD ahhh but i want to continue it now before watching the movie version :) can’t wait! well i dont think im afraid of it anymore since i was younger back then ^^;;

    Maki doesn’t usually play the bad girl so this is interesting ;P The plot seems like it would involve lots of surprises and intense moments–it definitely has my attention!

    I should watch the drama while I wait xD
