Yesterday, on November 28th, hip-hop duo Hilcrhyme held a special fan event at the Kawasaki Lazona to celebrate the release of their second original album, “MESSAGE.”

The venue was packed with fans for the special launch event.  Members TOC and DJ KATSU put on quite the show and performed the album tracks “Daijoubu,” “Travel Machine,” “Shampoo,” as well as some other new songs for a total set of eight tracks.  The two members were incredibly happy with the performance.

They commented afterwards, “We used to play lives in this venue, but only as an opening act.  We would have to sell our CDs ourselves and maybe sell ten copies.  It is a bitter memory, but today there are so many people who came for us, and our bitter memories are becoming good memories.”

After the live, they held a lottery for the fans in the audience with signed CDs and T-shirts as prizes.  TOC closed out the event by saying, “I’m happy so many people came to see us for the first time today.  We start our tour on January 9th, so please come see us when we stop nearby!”
