I’m just going to put my 5yen’s worth of opinion and just let it go. This isn’t even about the JE idols. The magazine did this because there’s a bad history between the magazine and Johnny Kitagawa going back to 2003 when they had a bad court case of some sort. The magazine has been trying to get back at Johnny ever since and they’re using the idols to do it. What makes it sick, and cruel, and completely insensitive is that never mind that these are pictures of idols who are all fully clothed, each picture easily interpretable as two people who are simply friends, acquaintenances, etc posing for a camera, but the magazine took advantage of a woman who was reportedly experiencing mental illness, and exploiting her after she has already passed away, all for the sake of their selfish revenge. This article highlighted that she was an AV/porn actress, but before that, she was a true one, and the reason why she got into it in the first place was because her mother was ill and she needed the money. This article trashes her in the worst way they could possibly do it, even though she was a life, someone with a family, someone who had friends, someone who meant something at some point to those idols long ago. Anybody who gets into any boy band will learn none of them are perfect, but what makes Arashi stand out among them is that they never tried to sell themselves as perfect. Quite the contrary. Everybody knows of Sho’s fails; they’re not the most handsome group in the world, they’re not the most talented in Asia, but that makes them all the more remarkable because of how far they’ve come inspite of all of that. That article nothing less than how extremely young the idols were, and does not in any way reflect the kind of men these idols have grown up to be. Either you’ll be easily led by the attempts of this magazine to sway your opinion using vague pictures and an interview by someone who is passed away and suffered from mental illness, or you can make up your own conclusions for yourself. Choice is up to you. Personally for me, I’m still an Arashi fan, and this magazine has not gotten me. Not in the least. As for the anti-fans, they have about as much hatred in their hearts as the magazine people who published this article so they’re not worth your time. Just like this article.
