Berryz Koubou to make their 1st U.S. appearance at ‘Sakura-Con’!

Sakura-Con is an American convention dedicated to Japanese anime that started back in 1998 in Washington. It was exclusively an anime-only event until 2004, when musical artists were also invited to attend. Past guests have included hiro, m.o.v.e, SCANDAL, and HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR, just to name a few.

The newest addition to the list will be Hello! Project group, Berryz Koubou. These girls will hold a live performance, and are likely to host a fan meet-and-greet as well. This will be the Berryz Koubou’s first North American appearance.

The convention will be held at the Washington State Convention & Trade Center in Seattle for April 22nd-24th in 2011.

Joining them as musical Guests of Honor will be visual kei band, exist trace.
