the fact that they are able to communicate on a basic level is already enough. you dont have to go deeper to know the language very well to communicate with each other. I dont understand why some people are sceptical of the fact that the guy isn’t a Japanese, and whether she can even communicate with him. Ayu writes and speaks English. I see that in her tweets. Although its not superb, its still understandable.

Yeah it just bothers me everyone thinks she (or other non-native English speakers) don’t know English while it is the most taught language in the world and many or semi-bilingual while the majority in the States just know a couple of Spanish and French words and that’s it. They might live in a country unexpected to us for all we know…
