AKB48's new sister group, NMB48, held a press conference on December 4th and announced they will start performing on New Year's Day. �NMB48 has 25 members now, and they were all chosen through an audition from among 7,256 applicants. �The members' average age is currently 14.9 years old.

Starting on January 1st in 2011, they will be holding about a two hour long performance every day at NMB48 Theater in Osaka.
