‘Young Kimura Takuya’, Ohno Takuro, to act in “Misaki Number One!!”

The self-proclaimed ‘young Kimura Takuya‘ lookalike, Ohno Takuro, will be adding to his acting repetoire with his appearance in the upcoming drama, “Misaki Number One!!“.

Ohno, a Rikkyo University sophomore studying physiology, was discovered after he won the “CampuStar” talent scouting event back in February. He kicked off his acting career with an appearance in the movie, “Incite Mill ~7-kakan no Death Game~” earlier in October, and is looking to try his hand at dramas through “Misaki Number One!!”.

As we reported earlier, “Misaki Number One!!” is a story of the #1 hostess in Roppongi, who becomes a teacher for three months. Karina has been slotted to play the teacher, while Ohno will be one of the students along with the two Kis-My-Ft2 members, Fujigaya Taisuke and Kitayama Hiromitsu.

    Ooh, I do see the resemblance.

    Labeling oneself as a Kimura lookalike is a sure way to get attention, because it got me interested, lol. However, at this early stage in his career, I don’t blame him for using that link to establish some interest.

    In my opinion, Kimura’s looks are just a part of his popularity, compared to being able to match the charisma/appeal that Kimura has, looking like him’s not that important.

    With that said, I think Ohno Takuro’s cute regardless of who he’s supposed to resemble, and I’m definitely anticipating this drama! Love Fujigaya-Kitayama, and am looking forward to seeing the other boys that will be playing students in Karina’s class.
