After School’s Lizzy is a fan of AKB48?

Many Japanese idols – such as Hello! Project soloist Mano Erina – are known lovers of Korean music, but a recent photo of K-pop idol Lizzy from After School reveals that she might be a fan of Japanese music as well!

Lizzy was recently spotted at After School’s Taiwanese record company, Gold Typhoon Music, holding a copy of AKB48’s single, “Chance no Junban”, and posing in front of several posters. Plastered on the wall next to pictures of After School sub-unit Orange Caramel (of which Lizzy is a member) are posters of idol group AKB48 and popular singer-songwriter Utada Hikaru.

    I never really listened much to After School but after knowing a member of theirs like AKB48 & Hikki’s music, I feel like listening to them already. It’s really nice to see Jpop and Kpop artists showing admiration & love for each other’s work sometimes. ^^

    I wish more Koreans and Kpop fans were like her: be more open to other nation’s music instead of the constant bombardment of “Kpop is the best and Jpop sucks”

    After School’s company is Pledis Entertainment BUT I think that this “top recording label in Japan” that they were talking about signing with to debut in Japan could be Gold Typhoon Music?.. hmm

    I’m sure that there are lots of kpop artist that are interested in pop music but no news about it, because no Japanese media thinks it’s worth to be talked about.

    Lizzy is not the first one to show love for Japanese music. Super Junior’s Kim Heechul had said that he like J-rock long time ago. Other Super Junior members had done so too. Just saying. And I love Lizzy for showing her love openly. I hope the best for After School’s Japan debut. I think Orange Caramel will be loved.

    I love some of AKB48’s songs, such as Beginner or Heavy Rotation, even some of their idol-ish style songs are great to me (don’t listen to this type of music too often), so no wonder Lizzy likes it as well. Some people have issues to listen to them just because they’re a Japanese idol girl group, something I find silly. And I’m sure that if songs like the two I’ve mentioned above were sung for other acts, people wouldn’t be complaining and saying those are not good ¬¬

    I’ve just watched their interview in a concert in Japan. One of em (Heechul?) was even singing YUI’s song. God bless them!

    Hmm.. I actually think its shocking.. LOL not hating or anything, its just I dont really like AKB48’s concept… The first video i saw of them gave me really bad impression. They were all almost naked.. Dont get me wrong, I love Japanese Music. there are amazing singers in japan, just i dont think AKB48 has them.. Sorry if i offended anyone. I just dont think a music video with like twenty girls almost naked, deserve 14 million views..
