tokyohive previously�reported that girl group powerhouse AKB48 would be featured in a documentary titled, "DOCUMENTARY of AKB48 to be continued 10 nengo, Shoujotachi wa Ima no Jibun ni Nani wo Omou no daoru?", which is scheduled for a January 22nd release.

With a plethora of songs to choose from, many have been wondering which popular hit would become the theme song for the film. As it turns out, it'll be none of the fan favorites.

Instead, the documentary will receive a brand new track from AKB48 producer, Akimoto Yasushi. The song's title is "Shoujotachi yo", and it's been described as a cheerful and positive track.

At this time, there's no word on whether or not the song will be released. So for now, fans will only be able to listen to it at the movie theatres. The song will be used in the ending credits, which contains a video of the members during the recording.
