Salyu to release album produced by Cornelius

As a follow up to her self-produced 2010 album, “MAIDEN VOYAGE”, singer Salyu will be collaborating with musician Cornelius (real name: Okayama Keigo) to produce her next album, “s(o)un(d)beams“, which will be released on March 23rd.
She will take the name “salyu × salyu” for the album, and the purpose of the “salyu × salyu” project comes from Salyu’s idea of using her voice as an instrument that creates a variety of sublimating sounds.
The collaboration started with direct talks between Salyu and Cornelius, whom she respects as an artist and creator. What started with countless collaborative works ended up as 11 tracks, with superior singing ability and never-before-heard vocal expression. The result is a “multi-voice” recording style that is unique to Salyu’s singing style.
The lyrics are a collaborative effort between many musicians, including former Yura Yura Teikoku member Sakamoto Shintaro, Kuchiroro member Itou Seiko, and Nanao Tabito, along with contributions from Salyu and Cornelius.
On January 19th, a special website was opened, with comments from Salyu and Cornelius, as well as listening samples, special interviews, and a picture gallery. As Cornelius has loyal fans around the world, this will definitely be a collaboration for fans of both artists to watch out for!
The track list for “s(o)un(d)beams” is:
