I’ve not yet managed to listen to it and pay attention to it for the full duration. The only thing I actively remember is… it’s long. God damn it’s long. Touching or not… it’s just long. Long. Yeah, it’s a nice, touching song and she delivers it really nicely. But it’s long. Long.

Maybe I’m still traumatized by Ravel’s Bolero, but long songs that always go along the same way with little to no variation… Sorry, not my thing.

She has to be careful or she’ll be a one hit wonder.

Pretty long song but that’s not uncommon in J-pop, I’m happy for her success!

YAY Kana chan! it is really a gorgeous touching song. I have seen her maybe once or twice over the past 4 years as I work at the school she graduated from. I remember all my students my first year singing ” Milk Tea” when I asked them what their favorite drink is. Her success is really encouraging to all the singer-songwriters out there in a time when boy bands and girl groups are ruling the charts.

LOL! I know what you mean.
I have a pretty short attention span, but I listened while watching the PV. Since the PV follows the lyrics’ storyline, it’s much better for me to have both audio and visual = listening all the way and falling in love with the song.

This is such a beautiful song. I love the transition, such a wonderful song. I also had a really close relationship with my grandma, and hearing those last sentences “Oba-chan Oba-chan arigatowo” just brought tears to my eyes. This chick deserves every thing she got from this song.
