Winners for the “14th Nikkan Sports Drama Grand Prix” revealed

Nikkan Sports has revealed the winners for their “14th Nikkan Sports Drama Grand Prix” that covered the whole fall season.

Fuji TV dominated the grand prix by winning in 4 of the 5 categories. The most popular drama last season was “Freeter” which consequently led it to win “Best Drama” in the grand prix as well. Ninomiya Kazunari won “Best Starring Actor” for his performance in “Freeter” while Kanno Miho was awarded as the “Best Starring Actress” for her role in the mysterious drama “Guilty” (Fuji TV).

The five winners will be added as nominees to the annual Grand Prix that is going to take place in March.

    Freeter winning with a gap of more then half of the points more: yay,yay!!!!!!! sugaoi desu~
    didn’t think of freeter as boring at all….. this dorama brought me to the edge of tears and was well acted out by everyone contributing to the shown success, so omedetou minna-sama!!!!!

    and happy for toda erika, or more to say, for her representing spec, as i loved this one big time <3 but since the ratings weren't all that great didn' think it would appear at all, so now i count myself contend and can do nothing but agree with the rating ^w^

    hmmmmm. Guilty had a pretty decent plot but the acting was weak. from both the starring actors (Kanno & Tamaki). Great job Nino & well done Aya Ueto, not fan of hers but she was really convincing in Nageraboshi.

    I wish Erichan won with SPEC though.

    Freeter is a great drama, and I like Nino .. so this result is awesome.

    But what makes it more awesome is that Acchan got votes to be #5 despite all the critics :P

    Excellent showing, Freeter! I found it touching, an overall good show. I am kind of “huh?!” about it beating out Ryomaden which was outstanding but I also think that says a lot about Freeter’s cast and quality…and fan voting power ^^ I think Nino’s a very good actor, better than Fukuyama or Mizutani….ummm, not yet, but at least I don’t cringe at the results. The Neen has a lot of talent and is working hard at developing it.

    I agree with Pinklett that Kanno’s acting was a little weak, but I still found Guilty addictive (what can I say, I’m a die-hard Kanno fan)

    Points about this that made it Happy Dance Approved: great showing by Aibou…Goro-chan actually pulling a second-place and not losing by too many votes 8D…Nagareboshi’s support.

    Nino is showing time and time again, he’s most likely the best actor in Arashi due to the roles he has been casted into. He does still have ways to go to catch up to Fukuyama and Goro, but he’s getting there! Karina did a great job as well, but I agree with Aya getting the nod over her due to Aya’s vast experience.
