A special box set called "Maboroshi no Kyoku" will be released on February 10th, commemorating ZARD's 20th anniversary since her debut in 1991.

The box set will span 6 CDs and contains a whopping 99 songs, 32 of which have never been released before. Every single and B-side since her debut single, "Goodbye My Loneliness", will be included on the special anniversary album to celebrate the life and career of the beloved singer. The box set also features songs originally produced on difficult to obtain 8 cm singles and reissues of popular B-sides,�"My Friend" and "Mezameta Asa wa... ".

Sakai Izumi, better known by her stage name ZARD, died tragically at age 40 in 2007. She was being treated for cervical cancer at Keio University Hospital when she accidentally fell down a staircase, suffering severe head trauma. She is remembered to this day as being one of the most popular artists of the 90s.
