As tokyohive reported several times, the movie isoriginally a book by Don Jones who was a United States Navy admiral, and is being made as a project of the 70th year since the outbreak of war between Japan and America. The movie will be made from both the Japanese and American point of view. Takenouchi plays general Ohba who was called FOX by the American solders.

Takenouchi also talked about his thoughts toward the movie, "It's impossible todescribeall the experiences of the people who survivedafierce battle into the 2 hours long movie, but I hope this would be a trigger for people to think and convey about war."

To the stage greetings, other cast members, Yamada Takayuki, Nakajima Tomoko, Okada Yoshinori, Abe Sadawo, Karasawa Toshiaki, as well as the 30 extras who played the solders under Takenouchi.
