Matsumoto Tak, guitarist for B'z, won in the "Best Pop Instrumental Album" category at the 53rd Grammy Awards. �In a collaboration with Larry Carlton, the pair won the Grammy for their album, "Take Your Pick".
Pianist Uchida Mitsuko also won a Grammy at the awards show. �She won in the "Best Instrumental Soloist(s) Performance (with Orchestra)" category for her performance of "Mozart: Piano Concertos Nos. 23 & 24".
Kitaro was another Japanese artist who was nominated, but he did not win in the "Best New Age Album" category with "Sacred Journey Of Ku-Kai, Volume 4".
