Yesterday, on February 15th, Kadokawa Pictures announced it's lineup of upcoming films for 2011 and 2012 in Yurakucho, Tokyo. �Within the lineup was one film title that caught the attention of many: "Sadako 3D", a film centered around the famous, creepy character "Sadako" from the horror film, "The Ring".

Just to be clear, "The Ring" is not coming to 3D, as this will be a completely new story revolving around the character of "Sadako". The author of the original series, Suzuki Koji, said that the film will include the scene where "Sadako" crawls out of the television.

Although the cast and crew have yet to be announced, the movie is slated for a 2012 release.

Other films Kadokawa announced were animated films "Momo e no Tegami" (2012), "Sora no Otoshimono" (2011), "Strike Witches" (2012), "Another" (2012), and "Kitsutsuki to Ame" (2012, tentative).
