Rilakkuma, a portmanteau of the words "relax" and "kuma" (bear), is one of San-X's most popular characters, and it can be found on pretty much anything a person might encounter in their everyday life. Although the character was initially marketed towards children, Rilakkuma has found much popularity with women and children of all ages.

The sleepy-looking bear has become so popular that San-X has decided to release a Rilakkuma CD, titled "Relax And Good Sleep Rilakkuma." The album will be a special collaboration between the character and five female vocalists: Kawagoe Aiko, SONOROUS, Fujii Kawai, Kume Aya, and Odomie.

"Relax And Good Sleep Rilakkuma" will be a soothing bedtime album, consisting of covers of popular J-pop songs released between 1980 and 2000. Each song features a simple arrangement of a piano, an acoustic guitar, and the gentle voices of the singers to help you fall asleep.

This unique album will be released on March 30th, but will only be available on Rilakkuma's official mobile site and in a select few Rilakkuma stores. Those who purchase the album will receive an exclusive A5-size folder.
