On March 20th, two AKB48 members, Iwasa Misaki and Suzuki Mariya held a special handshake & mini live event in Guam in support of the disaster relief. It was held at Hilton Guam Resort & Spa, and about 500 Japanese tourists and local people visited the event. The girls performed AKB48's latest song "Sakura no Ki ni Narou", and shook hands with 200 fans.
According to a representative, Hilton Guam Resort & Spa planned the charity concert "JAPAN AID Benefit CONCERT", and they asked the girls to appear as special guests. Other members who finished the shoot, had already returned to Japan, and Iwasa and Suzuki who were still in Guam at the time, gave their willing consent to hold the charity event.
The entrance fee was $15, and the all earnings will be donated to the Japan Red Cross Society.
