allkpop

Not too long ago, we reported about howLUNA SEA would be releasing a new song for the victims of the Tohoku earthquake. Additional info has just been revealed about the band's first new release in 10 years.

The track LUNA SEA is releasing is called "PROMISED NIGHT", and was recorded as a demo when the band decided to reunite. It's been performed only once in the past at the Kobe World Kinen Hall concert on December 30th, 2010.

The band decided to release the song to support relief efforts for the Tohoku earthquake, with all profits being donated through the Japanese Red Cross Society. The distribution is planned to be worldwide, in order to gain as much support as possible, but the release date is still unknown at this time.

LUNA SEA also revealed an official message for earthquake victims:

"We express our sympathies to the victims of the Tohoku Earthquake from the bottom of our hearts and send our condolences to the families of those who were sacrificed.

[We] want to return the support that everyone has given LUNA SEA in the past back to you this time. Until the day that the sadness heals, let's walk on together."
