It's been revealed that Sadamoto Yoshiyuki's�manga series, "Neon Genesis Evangelion", will resume serialization in the May edition of 'Young Ace', breaking a hiatus that lasted over a year.
The series began serialization in 1994 through�Kadogawa Shoten's 'Monthly Shonen Ace', before it was adapted into an anime in 1995. In 2009, the series moves to a different monthly magazine called 'Young Ace', which was still owned by the same publisher. However, it stopped releasing new chapters in January of 2010.
The May edition of 'Young Ace' will hit shelves on April 4th. As a bonus, figurines of the manga's heroines, 'Ayanami Rei' and 'Asuka Langley Soryu', will be included in the May and June editions of the magazine, respectively. The figurines will be based on the cover illustration from the May 2010 edition of 'Young Ace', as shown below:
