Which songs have earthquake victims requested the most on FM Sendai?

It’s been 12 days since the occurrence of the Great Tohoku Kanto Earthquake and as the days goes by, the song requests have sharply increased on FM Sendai.  40 % of the requests are for songs from Johnny & Associates‘ artists, and the most wanted artist is Arashi.  According to FM Sendai, Arashi’s “Kitto Daijoubu” and “Believe” receive the most amount of the requests.

When the earthquake occurred, FM Sendai only aired information about the disaster without any music, however, beginning this week, their music segments began to occupy 50 % of their broadcasts.  The director of FM Sendai stated, “We received mainly requests for ballad songs at first, but the victims’ needs started to change healing songs to positive songs.  Arashi is the favorite for elementary kids to people in their 50s.”

    ^.^ Agreed, “Believe” is a great song. This will help people think positively and wounds will slowly start healing.

    wayyyyy~ so cool, Arashi Go!Go!Go! 40% is amazing….. this shows just how much they can actually reach the heart of people and what Johnny’s is really all about…. :)
    it’s nice to see the people slowly taking steps forward (through varity shows airing again and requesting positive songs and such)….

    personally I would request Hatenai Sora….even though I’m sure that I’ll 100% cry everytime I hear that song, I’d still want to hear it as the message is so beautiful and encouraging…. somehow there has been made a connection between the aftertime from the catastrophe and Hatenai sora in my head… like if you ask me about a song concerning this topic, it will always be Hatenai Sora…. so yeah…… Hatenai Sora desu ^w^

    That’s why people loves Arashi, most of their song are about keeping on going and staying strong, fighting spirit and perseverance. That’s the spirit of Japan.

    believe.. it’s really perfect for now. other songs like Hero or Kotoba Yori Taisetsuna Mono.. but.. Believe is just right for now.. ^^ I wonder what other Johnny’s songs are being requested??

    “kitto daijoubu” is such a positive song. it’s nice that arashi still has such a positive effect on japan to this day. :)

    I’m glad that Arashi can lift their spirits even for a bit!
