It's been reported that the ongoing manga in Big Comic Spirits (Shogakukan), "Afro Tanaka", will get live-action adaptation in 2012. �Matsuda Shota will play the main character while Sasaki Nozomi will appear as the heroine.

"Afro Tanaka" series is a gag manga written by Noritsuke Masaharu, and it's a story about daily life of Tanaka Hiroshi, who has afro hair. �The first series started in 2002 as "Koukou Afro Tanaka ", and there have been several sequels, "Chutai Afro Tanaka", "Joukyou Afro Tanaka", and "Sasurai Afro Tanaka".

Matsuda is a big fan of the original manga, and he will challenge the afro hair character. �Matsui Daigo will direct the movie, and the�scenario�will be written by Nishida Masafumi.
