Earlier today,�AKB48 performed on "Music Station", but Team A member Maeda Atsuko only appeared during the performance segment of the show. People sent in inquiries to her management, which caused them to update her blog with an explanation.

Early this morning, Maeda went to the hospital with symptoms of a cold. She had a fever of 38�C (100.4�F) and was put on an IV drip. Later on, she arrived at the 'Music Station' studio feeling completely exhausted, and was told she had to rest. However, due to the theme of this episode - 'music to make people feel better' - Maeda expressed her desire to participate. The staff all had a discussion and agreed that she could participate, but only in the performance aspect of the show. Afterwards, she was encouraged to sleep for the remainder of the day.
